Foreign Students can apply either on self financing or through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) attached to the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Foreign nationals seeking admission in any of the categories above will have to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the various programmes of study as prescribed by the University.
ICCR offers a number of scholarships to enable International students to pursue higher studies in Universities and other recognized institutions of higher learning in India. Students from Nepal do not require a student visa for studying in India.
But they should forward a copy of the Nepal citizenship card to the Embassy of India in Kathmandu for verification and for onward transmission to Mahatma Gandhi University. Accommodation Facility: UCIC provides accommodation facility to International students in the International Students Hostels (for men and women separately) with kitchen facility for self cooking.
